[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 20일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 용인교육지원청을 방문했다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 용인 지역의 교육 현안을 살피고 현장 지원체제를 강화하기 위해 마련된 자리로, ‘경기도의회와 교육지원청 간 소통 활성화’의 일환으로 진행하고 있으며, 이번 방문은 부천교육지원청과 성남교육지원청, 광주하남교육지원청에 이어 네 번째 방문이었다고 했다.

이날 만남에는 정윤경 위원장을 비롯하여 김은주 의원이 함께했으며, 용인교육지원청 교육장 및 교육국장, 미래국장, 대외협력과장 등 용인교육지원청 관계자가 참석하여 용인 지역 교육 현안 및 현장의 목소리에 대해 심도있는 논의가 이루어졌다고 했다.

먼저 정윤경 위원장은 “늘어나는 행정수요와 포스트 코로나 시대가 다가옴에 따라 급변하는 교육환경 변화에 대응할 수 있도록 용인교육지원청이 적극적으로 노력해 줄 것”을 당부했다.

이에 강원하 교육장은 변화하는 교육환경의 현장 목소리에 적극적으로 지원하기 위하여 “용인교육지원청 증축 후 학교 현장 지원의 핵심적인 역할을 수행하기 위하여 스마트워크 시스템을 도입 추진예정이다.”라고 밝혔다.

이 밖에도 학생 통학지원 강화 및 철저 등 각종 교육 현안에 대한 열띤 소통의 시간이 이루어졌다고 전했다.
