[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 20일 ‘제39회 동두천시장배 테니스대회’가 종합운동장 테니스장에서 열렸다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 동두천시체육회에서 주최하고 동두천시테니스협회에서 주관했으며, 선수 및 임원 등 16개 팀 80여 명이 참석한 가운데 클럽대항 경기로 진행됐다고 했다.

최용덕 시장은 격려사를 통해 “코로나19로 2년 만에 대회가 개최되었다. 그동안 침체됐던 생활체육이 활성화될 수 있는 계기가 되어 기쁘게 생각하며 동호인들 모두 즐겁게 경기에 임해주셨으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.

대회결과 금조 우승은 미래클럽, 준우승은 공설클럽이 차지했고, 은조는 목우회클럽이 우승, 공설클럽이 준우승했으며 동조는 목우회클럽이 우승, 동두천클럽이 준우승을 거뒀다고 밝혔다.
