[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 경기도교육연구원의 사회공헌활동인 ‘함께 꿈을 키워요’ 후원 캠페인에 동참했다고 밝혔다.

경기도교육연구원이 주관하는 ‘함께 꿈을 키워요’ 후원 캠페인은 지역아동센터 지원을 통한 저소득층 아동 돌봄 강화와 경기교육 기본계획 실현의 일환으로 실시되었으며, 약 200만원 상당의 기부물품을 통해 지역아동센터 환경이 개선될 예정이라고 했다.

이날 캠페인은 군포시 금정동에 소재한 갈릴리지역아동센터에서 진행되었으며, 정윤경 위원장을 비롯하여 이수광 경기도교육연구원장, 군포 갈릴리지역아동센터 최원경 대표 등 경기도교육연구원 및 지역아동센터 관계자 10여명이 참석했다고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 “교육 사각지대 해소는 평소 의정철학의 근간” 이라며, “지역아동센터 환경 개선을 통해 우리 아이들이 좀 더 나은 환경에서 올바른 사회구성원으로서 자라나길 하는 마음에 이 자리에 참석했다” 라고 동참 이유를 밝혔다.

군포 갈릴리지역아동센터 최원경 대표는 “모두가 힘든 시기임에도 불구하고 아이들을 위해 함께 동행해주셔서 진심으로 감사드린다” 며 감사의 뜻을 표했다고 전했다.

이에 정윤경 위원장은 “이번 캠페인을 통해 돌봄 아동을 위한 안전한 교육 환경 조성과 지역 공동체 발전에 크게 기여 할 수 있을 것” 이라며, “지속적인 나눔과 후원 캠페인을 통해 이웃과 온정을 나눌 수 있는 의미있는 활동을 지속해 나가겠다” 고 덧붙였다.
