[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 25일 가평군의회는 보훈회관을 방문하여 9개 보훈단체와 간담회를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 6·25전쟁 71주년과 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 선열의 숭고한 희생정신을 기리고 보훈가족 의견을 수렴하기 위해 마련했다고 전했다.

간담회에는 상이군경회와 전몰군경유족회, 전몰군경미망인회, 무공수훈자회, 6.25참전유공자회, 월남전참전자회, 고엽제전우회, 특수임무유공자회, 광복회 등 9개 보훈단체 관계자들이 참석했으며, 가평군의회 배영식 의장과 의원들은 보훈단체의 현황과 불편사항을 경청했다고 했다.

배영식 의장은 “오늘의 대한민국을 위해 헌신한 국가유공자분들에게 감사와 존경의 뜻을 전하며, 순국선열들과 호국영령, 보훈 가족들께도 가슴 깊은 감사를 드린다”고 전하며 “의회차원에서도 유공자의 명예와 자긍심을 고취시키는데 최선을 다하겠다“고 덧붙였다.
