[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8일 오후 가평군의회는 의회 특별위원회실에서 소속의원들을 대상으로 환경분야 자체교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 의원들의 의정역량 및 전문성을 강화를 위해 지난 달 4월 8일 진행한 1차 도시계획분야를 이어 이번 2차 환경분야로 실시했다고 전했다.

강사로는 환경분야 전문가이자 전 환경과장인 권택순 조종면장을 초청하여 ‘수질오염총량관리제도, 환경영향평가 제도, 상수원관리지역 규제와 지원사항, 고농도미세먼지 비상저감조치 등’주요 환경정책들의 이해를 돕기 위한 주제로 진행했다고 했다.

배영식 의장은 “이번 강의는 기본적인 용어 해설부터 전문적인 제도까지 환경분야를 종합적으로 알 수 있었던 귀한 시간으로, 의원들의 전문성을 강화하고 견문을 넓히는데 노력해 주심에 감사의 말씀을 드리며, 환경문제는 군민의 생존권 및 행복권과 가장 밀접한 사안이니만큼 우리 의원들도 환경문제 해결에 방점을 두고 의정활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
