[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 가평읍 읍내리 885번지 일원에 추진하는 평생학습관 건립 사업과 관련하여 한강유역환경청의 2023년도 친환경 청정 수계기금 공모사업에 계속사업으로 신규 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

친환경 청정사업으로 2023년부터 2025년까지 총 7,200백만원을 계속사업으로 신청하여 선정됨에 따라 연도별로 수계기금을 지원받게 됐으며, 우선 2023년도 사업비 720백만원을 확보하게 됐다.

“가평군 평생학습관 건립 사업”은 청소년부터 노년까지 전 주민이 이용 가능한 생애  맞춤형 복합 교육문화 인프라를 구축하는 사업으로 총 사업비 30,000백만원(2020~2025년), 지하1층~지상4층 규모로 추진하는 주민숙원 사업이다.

현재까지 경기도 제2차 지역균형발전사업 대상사업으로 선정되어 도비 17,875백만원을 확보하여 추진 중에 있으며, 이번 선정결과로 “지속가능발전 친환경 평생학습관”으로서 재차 사업성 인정과 예산확보를 통한 탄력을 띠게 됐다.

가평군 관계자는 “이번 신규사업 선정에 이어 향후 연도별 사업평가에서 성과 관리를 통한 사업비 확보에 최선을 다하겠다”고 전하며, “평생학습도시 가평군의 특성을 반영한 환경교육의 연계로 생애주기별 맞춤형 주민친화&친환경 청정교육 거점역할을 수행하도록 사업추진에 만전을 기하겠다”고 밝혔다.
