[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 횡성군은 상반기 완료를 목표로 '2022년 우리마을 도랑살리기 사업'을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

도랑살리기는 주민 주도로 마을 도랑의 수질을 개선하고 생태계를 복원하는 사업으로, 한강유역환경청에서 주관하고, 군은 지난 2015년 갑천면 안매일천을 시작으로 2021년까지 총 5곳을 대상으로 도랑살리기 신규사업을 추진해왔으며, 매년 기존 신규사업지 중 사후관리가 필요한 대상지를 마을과 협의해 선정하여 사후관리사업을 지속적으로 펼쳐가고 있다고 했다.  

올해는 기존 사업대상지 가운데 3곳 '안흥면 소사천, 서원면 방아천, 갑천면 잔골천'을 사후관리사업으로 신청하였으며, 지난 2월 최종 선정되었고, 이에 따라, 한강수계관리기금 4천 7백만 원을 지원받아 '수생식물 식재', '도랑정비', '주민 환경교육' 등을 추진하게 된다고 전했다. 

심승보 환경과장은 “앞으로도 관내 하천이 깨끗하고 아름답게 유지될 수 있도록, 수질개선사업과 비점오염저감사업 등을 꾸준히 추진해나가겠다.”고 말했다.
