[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 12일부터 15일까지 동두천시는 최용덕 시장 주재로 ‘2022년 주요업무계획 보고회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 보고회에서는 26개 부서가 시장, 부시장, 담당 국·과장 등이 참석한 가운데 2021년 추진성과를 공유하고 2022년에 추진할 주요 사업들에 대한 토의를 진행하였다고 했다. 

보고회는 기존의 단순한 보고와 지시가 아닌 참석자들이 함께 ‘수도권광역급행철도(GTX) C노선 동두천 연장’, ‘국가산업단지 조성사업’, ‘행복드림센터 조성사업’, ‘반다비 체육센터 조성사업’, ‘복합문화커뮤니티사업’, ‘경기도일자리재단 이전’ 등 부서별 주요 현안사업들과 신규 사업 발굴에 대한 자유로운 토론을 통해 ‘즐거운 변화, 더 좋은 동두천’을 만들기 위한 대안 마련에 집중하였다고 전했다.

이번 보고회에서 최용덕 시장은 “2021년은 코로나19로 인한 힘든 한해였지만 시민들의 많은 성원과 참여로 어려움을 극복해 나갈 수 있었다”고 말하며 “2022년은 정부에서 본격적으로 위드 코로나를 시행할 것으로 예상되는 만큼 그동안 힘들었던 시민들에게 행복을 줄 수 있도록 시민을 위한 주요 사업들을 잘 추진해주기 바라며, 국·도비 확보를 위한 신규 사업들도 적극 발굴해주기 바란다”고 밝혔다.

시는 이번 주요업무계획 보고회 결과를 바탕으로 내년도 추진사업을 보완·발전시켜 2022년 본예산을 최종 확정해 체계적으로 실현시킬 방침이라고 했다.
