[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 22일 동두천시는 중앙동 일원 및 송내지구 2개소의 주차장 조성사업 현장을 방문하여 현황을 점검하고 관계자 및 담당부서의 의견을 청취했다고 밝혔다.

현재 중앙동 일원 주차장은 토지 및 지장물 보상을 완료하고 내년 4월 준공을 목표로 지장물 철거작업을 완료했으며, 송내지구 주차장은 건설공사 공정률 70%로 내년 4월 준공을 목표로 공사를 지속 추진하고 있고, 두 현장 모두 공사가 진행 중으로 동절기에도 추위로 추진이 불가한 공정을 제외한 공정을 계속 추진할 계획이라고 했다.

한편 동두천시는 이번 현장 점검에서 시민들의 편의 증진과 원도심 상권 활성화를 위해 주차장 조성사업은 꼭 필요한 사업임을 강조하였으며 사업의 원활한 추진을 위해 담당부서에서 노력해 줄 것을 당부했다.
