[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강릉시문화도시지원센터가 강릉지역에 산재한 다양한 공방들의 정보를 상세하게 분류하고 정리한 가이드북 ‘공방도시 강릉, 일상에서 빛나는 공예’와 공방 유람지도를 발간했다고 전했다. 

해당 발간물은 지난해 연말 정리된 ‘2021 일상에서 빛나는 공방도시 구축사업 자료’를 토대로 강릉지역 내 112개 공방을 분야, 소재, 운영 유형 등으로 분류했으며, 지역 규방 공예의 전통을 창의적으로 재구성하여 시민들의 일상에서 빛나는 공방도시 강릉을 조성하기 위해 기획됐다. 

특히, 가이드북은 도자공예, 섬유공예, 목공예, 금속공예, 유리공예, 가죽공예, 등공예, 캔들공예, 복합공예(종이, 매듭, 칠보, 전각, 표구, 캘리 등)로 구분되는 공방들의 상세 정보가 보기 좋게 정리되어 있으며, 목차를 통해 필요한 정보를 한눈에 확인할 수 있다.

전시 위주의 갤러리나 재료 상점, 숍, 체험프로그램 등도 포함되어 강릉의 다양한 공예문화를 폭넓게 즐길 수 있는 입체적인 가이드북을 완성했다.

강릉시문화도시지원센터 관계자는 ‘공방도시 가이드북과 공방유람지도가 시민들의 공방 접근성을 높이는 매개체가 되어 강릉이 빛나는 공방도시로 성장하기를 바란다’며 책자 발간 효과에 대한 기대를 전했다. 

한편, 오는 10월에는 ‘일상에서 빛나는 공방도시 축제’가 예정되어 있으며, 공예 전시 및 마켓, 체험 등이 마련되며 50여 곳의 공방이 참여할 계획이다.

본 책자와 지도는 강릉시문화도시지원센터와 강릉문화재단, 강릉시관광안내소 등에서 받을 수 있고, 시나미강릉 홈페이지 내 발간자료 게시판에서 내려받을 수 있다.
