[김준호 기자=동헤시] 삼척시(박상수 시장)가 코로나-19 장기화에 따른 지역 농업인의 피해를 최소화하기 위해 농업기계 임대료 감면 혜택을 2023년 6월 말까지 추가 연장한다고 밝혔다.

시 농업기술센터는, 2022년 7월 1일~2022년 12월 말까지 6개월간 농기계 임대료 50% 감면을 한시적으로 시행해 왔으나, 농림축산식품부 및 강원도 임대료 감면지침에 따라 올해 1월~6월까지 50% 감면 기간을 연장 운영한다고 전했다.

시에 따르면, 2022년 한해 농기계 임대료 감면을 통해 9천만 원 정도의 농가 간접 지원 효과를 거두었으며, 이번에 6개월간 연장 시 9천만 원 정도의 추가감면 혜택이 있을 것으로 전망하고 있다. 

한편, 삼척시 농기계임대사업소는 근덕분소, 원덕분소, 미로분소, 하장분소 총 4개소로 750대의 농기계를 보유 중이며, 임대 및 배송, 순회 수리뿐만 아니라 스마트 농업기계 임대교육장에서 농기계 안전 이용 실습 교육도 받을 수 있다.

박상수 삼척시장은 “농기계 임대료 감면 기간 연장을 통해 코로나-19로 인해 힘든 시기를 보내고 있는 지역 농업인들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다.”고 전했다.
