[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 21일 횡성군은 양성평등 주간을 맞이하여 오는 횡성문화예술회관 대공연장에서 제18회 횡성양성평등대회를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

이날 기념행사에는 김명기 군수와 김영숙 의장이 참석하여 횡성 여성의 화합과 소통의 자리를 축하할 예정이며, 여성단체별 양성평등 유공자에 대한 시상도 진행된다.

횡성양성평등대회는 양성평등에 대한 이해와 관심 제고를 위해 열리며 여성단체협의회 회원 등 약 400여명이 참석한 가운데 기념행사에 이어, 여성의 역량 강화와 자존감 향상을 위한 시간으로 ‘엄마도 꿈을 가지면 안되나용?’을 주제로 개그맨 김영철의 강연도 준비되어 있다. 

김홍석 교육복지과장은“이번 행사를 통해 양성평등 문화가 확산되어 여성과 남성, 모두 함께 살기 좋은 횡성군이 되도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
