[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시가 코로나19 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 장애인을 위해 돌봄서비스를 강화한다고 밝혔다.

동해시는 올해 40억여원의 예산을 투입해 돌봄서비스를 추진할 계획으로, 우선, 신체적·정신적 장애 등으로 홀로 일상생활과 사회생활이 어려운 장애인에게 지원하는 활동 지원급여 시간당 단가를 1만 4,020원에서 1만 4,800원으로, 활동지원 제공인력과 수급자 연계 활성화를 위한 가산급여를 1,500원에서 2,000원으로 각각 인상한다고 했다.

또, 성인 발달장애인의 낮 시간대와 청소년 발달장애인의 방과 후 활동보장 등을 위한 주간 및 방과 후 활동 서비스도 월 100시간에서 월 125시간으로 확대 지원한다고 했다. 

이 밖에, 2차 장애 예방과 장애아동 부양가족의 경제적 부담경감을 위해 지원하는 미술·심리치료, 인지·언어치료, 감각통합치료 등 장애아동 치료프로그램도 확대 지원할 예정이며, 장애인위치추적기 지원, 자립생활주택 운영, 장애인자립생활센터 프로그램 신규지원, 소규모 민간시설 접근성 개선 사업 등을 통해 장애인 돌봄서비스를 강화해 나갈 방침이라고 전했다.

권순찬 복지과장은 “앞으로도 장애인들이 지역 사회에서 더불어 살아갈 수 있도록 통합 돌봄서비스를 지속적으로 발굴하여 더불어 행복한 복지 도시를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
