[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 행안부가 주최한 2021년 하반기 재해예방사업 추진실태 점검 결과 장려상을 수상하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 자연재해대책법을 근거로 하여 행정안전부가 재해예방사업의 문제점을 개선하고, 우수사례 발굴 전파하기 위해 재해예방사업장 안전관리와 사업추진 실태, 집행점검 등을 종합적으로 평가했다고 했다.

지난해 11월 10일부터 12월 10일까지 점검을 실시한 결과, 고성군이 강원도 내에서 장려 시·군으로 선정되 유공자 표창 및 오는 2023년 재해예방사업 예산에 5억원의 인센티브를 받는다고 전했다.

한편, 고성군은 올해 소규모 재해위험지 개선 및 자연재해 위험 개선지구 정비 등을 위해 총 33억원을 투입해 재해예방 사업을 우기 전까지 마무리할 계획이라고 했다.

차영근 안전교통과장은 “재해예방사업은 주민의 안전과 직결되는 사업인 만큼, 지속적인 투자와 관리가 필요하며 재해원인을 면밀히 분석하여 사업에 반영하는 등 근본적인 대책을 수립해 재해로부터 안전한 고성군이 되는데 최선을 다하겠다."고 말했다.
