[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 21일 가평읍행정복지센터에서는 자원봉사자와 연계하여 사례관리 대상가구의 온수기를 설치하는 주거환경 개선사업을 추진했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 가평읍행정복지센터 사례관리 사업비를 지원하고, 자원봉사자는 대상자 자택의 외벽이 튼튼하지 못해 온수기를 설치할 수 없어 직접 선반을 제작하였고, 대상자의 경우 보일러는 설치되었지만 근처 수도시설 미비로 온수를 사용할 수 없어 겨울철에도 연탄난로와 가마솥을 사용하여 물을 데워 설거지와 목욕을 하는 등 열악한 주거상태였고, ‘이 마을에 나 혼자 따뜻한 물을 마음껏 쓰지 못한다.’며 불편함을 호소하고 있었다고 했다.

가평군 자원봉사센터장(김금순)은 봉사자들의 다양한 재능기부로 지역사회의 어려운 이웃에게  보탬이 되어주셔서 감사하고 앞으로도 관심과 봉사를 꾸준히 이어 나가겠다.”며 소감을 전했다.
