이번 사업은 낡아서 부식되어 사용하지 못하고 있는 연탄보일러를 교체하여 홀몸어르신 가구의 따뜻하고 안락한 주거환경을 지원하기 위한 것으로, 상면지사협 위원들의 심의를 통해 대상자를 선정하고 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 지원되는 CMS모금액 사업비를 활용하여 추진하였고, 이와 함께 환절기를 맞아 점점 면역력이 떨어지고 있어 (사)더불어함께새희망에서 후원해준 종합비타민을 같이 전달하였다고 했다. 

어르신께서는 “보일러가 고장났으나 도움을 받을 곳이 없어 점점 추워지는 겨울을 맞는 것이 두려웠는데 새 보일러로 교체해주어 월동준비를 완벽하게 되어 너무 안심되고 감사하다” 고 눈물을 보이시며 고마움을 표현하셨다. 

서승우 민간위원장은 “상면 지사협 활동을 통해 사각지대에 놓인 분들께 실질적인 도움을 드리게 되어 보람을 느끼며 나눔은 곧 희망을 나누는 일임을 다시한번 깨달아 보며 사각지대에 놓인 분이 없는 그 날까지 최선을 다하겠다.”는 활동소감을 밝혔다.
