이날 대상자는 고령의 독거어르신으로, 기초생활수급자로 보장받고 있으나, 거동이 불편하여 가정 내 물건 정리와 청소를 일체하지 못하여, 오랜 기간 물건을 두서없이 쌓아두고 있었다고 했다. 

점점 따뜻해지는 날씨에 악취와 벌레가 건강까지 위협하여, 지역사회보장협의체 위원들은 이번 대청소를 통해 각종 물건과 음식물을 처리하고, 쾌적한 주거환경을 조성했다고 말했다. 

경규환 위원장은 “어르신을 위해 더운 날 구슬땀을 흘리신 위원님들께 감사드리며, 앞으로도 건강하고 쾌적한 지역사회를 구축하기 위해 기쁘게 봉사하자”고 당부했다.

이춘우 동장은 “귀한 시간을 내주신 위원님들 덕분에 관내 건강에 취약한 어르신의 주거환경이 개선됐다. 위원님들의 관심으로 소외된 이웃들의 위기가 적극 해소되는 만큼, 지속적인 관심을 부탁드린다”고 전했다.
