[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 5월, 횡성군은 축산 방역전문가 양성반 운영을 앞두고 수강생 모집을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

축산 방역전문가 양성반은 구제역, AI, 아프리카돼지열병 등 가축전염병 발생 시 초소 근무 및 전염병 가축 방역 조치 등에 참여할 인원을 사전에 확보하여 긴급상황 발생 시 신속 대응하기 위한 것이라고 전했다.  

교육 기간은 오는 5월 13일부터 6월 17일까지로, 교육 과정은 이론교육과 현장실습으로 구성됐고, 매주 금요일 6시간씩 6주간 교육 과정을 이수하면, 축산방역 전문가 자격증 취득 기회가 주어지며 교육비 및 취득시험 응시료는 전액 무료이라고 했다.

횡성군민 누구나 신청 가능하고, 모집인원은 20명이며, 신청 방법은 읍면사무소 산업팀으로 오는 22일까지 접수하면 되고, 기타 문의 사항은 축산과 가축방역팀으로 하면 된다고 했다. 

지난 2020년 하반기부터 본격 양성이 시작됐으며, 현재까지 3회에 걸쳐 62명의 방역전문가를 양성하였다고 밝혔다.
