이번 프로그램은 선사시대부터 현대사까지 우리 역사의 발자취를 따라 시대별 사건과 주요 인물, 생활·문화 등에 대해 쉽고 재미있게 배울 수 있는 동시에 코로나19 여파로 문화체험 기회가 줄어든 아동들에게 문화 향유의 기회를 제공하고자 마련했다고 전했다.

교육은 교과서 속 역사가 보이는 미로 역사 여행 도서를 활용한 이론수업과 역사 유물 만들기 등 실습교육으로 구성했으며 미로 길을 따라 역사 속 사건과 인물을 찾아보고 이해하며 우리 역사 이야기를 함께 만들어 가는 자기 주도적 수업으로 진행한다고 했다.

초등학교 3학년부터 6학년까지 총 12명을 대상으로 오는 6월 1일부터 7월 20일까지 매주 화요일마다 총 8회에 걸쳐 비대면 온라인 수업으로 운영할 예정이라고 했다.

참가를 희망하는 시민은 11일부터 양주시 도서관 홈페이지나 꿈나무도서관으로 접수하면 선착순으로 모집한다고 전했다.
