[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 4월 14일, 평창군은 평창군청 소회의실에서 우드플래닛과 평창 목재문화체험장 운영 및 홍보 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 체결하였다고 밝혔다. 

평창군과 우드플래닛은 이날 협약을 통해 평창 목재문화체험장 조성 관련 자문 및 컨설팅, 향후 운영인력, 프로그램 개발, 홍보 방안 등에 대해 서로 상호 협력하여 평창 목재문화체험장 운영 및 홍보 활성화를 위해 힘쓰기로 하였다고 전했다.

우드플래닛은 지난 2011년 목재전문 매거진 '월간 우드플래닛' 창간을 시작으로 현재까지 90회 발간하였으며, 목공예분야 전시기획, 건축 및 인테리어분야 목재 컨설팅, 목공예 온라인플랫폼 구축, 목재 가공 및 목가구 제작소 운영 등 미디어뿐만 아니라 다양한 목재 관련 사업을 추진하고 있다고 했다.

이성모 산림과장은 “우리군 목재문화체험장 조성에 따라 목공예 체험 및 홍보에 특화된 전문기관과의 협약체결을 통해 타 지자체와 차별화된 운영 전략 마련으로 목재문화체험장 운영의 활성화를 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.
