[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 2일, 동두천시 불현동 새마을남녀지도자회는 불현동에 거주하는 주거취약계층 2가구에 연탄 700장을 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

불현동 새마을남녀지도자회는 매년 방역봉사, 사랑의 집수리, 사랑의 연탄나눔 등 다양한 지역사회 공헌활동을 펼쳐 더불어 사는 사회의 가치를 실현하고 있다고 했다.

윤수정·김판임 회장은 “이웃들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있을 것 같아 뿌듯하다. 앞으로도 연탄 배달을 비롯한 다양한 봉사활동을 꾸준히 수행할 것이다” 라고 소감을 밝혔다.

김지일 불현동장은 “이웃을 위해 땀 흘려 봉사해주신 새마을남녀지도자회  회원들에게 감사드리며, 불현동에서도 복지사각지대 발굴과 취약계층 지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
