[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 17일 포천시 이동면 행복마을관리소는 이동면 저소득 중증장애인가구에 주거환경개선사업을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

포천장애인자립생활지원센터에서 의뢰로 진행한 이번 주거환경개선사업의 대상 가구는 쓰레기와 악취로 건강을 위협받고 있던 주거취약계층이라고 했다.

이날 주거환경개선사업에 참여한 한 봉사자는 “작은 노력이지만 어르신이 나은 환경에서 살 수 있게 해드린 것 같아 매우 보람을 느낀다.”고 소감을 전했다.

이동면장 송영범은 “어르신이 쾌적한 환경에서 지내실 수 있도록 큰 도움을 주신 봉사자분들께 진심으로 감사드린다.”라며 “민관이 함께 촘촘한 사회안전망을 구축할 수 있도록 다양한 방법을 모색하겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 포천시 이동면 행복마을관리소는 지난달부터 운영을 시작했으며, 사무직 포함 10명의 직원이 관내 야간순찰, 안심동행, 환경정화 활동, 취약계층지원 등 다양한 일상생활 서비스를 제공하고 있다고 했다.
