[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도 코로나 확진환자 치료를 시작으로 공공의료기관으로서 도민의 든든한 버팀목 역할을 충실히 수행해 온 강원도 5개 의료원(원주ㆍ강릉ㆍ속초ㆍ삼척ㆍ영월)이 코로나 19 확산세가 완화됨에 따라 정상운영에 들어간다고 밝혔다.

 

5개 의료원 경영진은 포스트 코로나를 대비해 조직정비, 기능보강, 의료인력 보강 등으로 병원 정상화 경영계획 수립과 지역 내 양질의 의료서비스 제공, 운영 효율화 등 병원의 진료 정상화를 위한 역량 강화에 집중할 방침으로, 기존 코로나 전담 병상 일부를 일반 환자 병상으로 전환해 운영하며, 외래진료, 입원치료, 응급실운영, 건강증진센터, 중환자실, 호흡기 전담클리닉, 호스피스 병동, 간호간병통합 병동 등 코로나 이전 수준으로 회복하기 위해 노력하고 있다고 했다.

 

입원치료가 어려웠던 일반 병상이 재가동에 들어가며 새로운 전기를 맞이할 것을 대비해, 5개 의료원에서는 고객응대 친절교육을 실시하여, 의료원을 찾는 도민들의 불편사항을 없앨 수 있도록 조치할 예정이며, 특히, 의료원별로 그간 코로나 19로 더디게 진행되었던 병원 기능보강사업(증축 및 장비보강)과 공공임상교수제 시행 예정 등으로 시설현대화와 우수한 의료진 확보로 양질의 의료서비스 제공에 최선을 다할 예정이라고 전했다.

지난 3월 최대 888병상까지 운영하였던 격리치료병상은 일반의료체계 전환에 따라 안착기에는 84병상을 유지하고 응급상황에 대비하여 道응급콜센터를 24시간 운영한며, 재유행시에는 유행 규모 및 추세를 고려하여 순차적으로 확대하여 최대 900병상까지 운영가능한 상황이라고 했다. 

 

특히 올해 12월까지 위중증 환자를 위한 상시 운영 음압병상 23개를 강원대병원에 확충하며, 유행 초기에 어려움을 겪었던 응급분만, 투석, 소아를 위한 특수병상 운영도 재점검하여 보완할 계획이라고 했다.

 

지난 5월 25일에 운영 종료한 생활치료센터는 예비시설 1개소(315병상)를 지정하였고, 관계부처와 협의를 완료하여 재유행시 개소 결정 5일 이내에 가동과 운영이 가능하도록 했다고 전했다.

 

재유행시 신속한 재택치료를 위해 관리의료기관 51개소를 예비지정하고, 현재 65개소의 먹는치료제 전담약국을 추가 지정해 나갈 계획이라고 했다. 

 

기존의 호흡기진료지정의료기관, 호흡기전담클리닉 등 코로나19 치료관련 의료기관을‘호흡기환자진료센터’로 통합 변경하고 의료기관별 진료 유형을 구분하여 안내한다고 했다.
