[김준호 기자 = 평창군] 평창군은 지난 12일, 군청 소회의실에서지방소멸대응기금사업의 일환으로 추진하는 청옥산 은하수 산악관광 허브 구축사업의 성공을 위해 평창군, 평창풍력발전(주), 미탄영농조합법인 3자 간 업무협약을 체결하였다고 밝혔다. 

평창군은 청옥산 일원에 풍력발전단지, 생태단지, 무장애 나눔길 등의 기반시설과 화전·고랭지·평창아라리 등의 지역문화와 야생화 자원을 결합한 산악관광 허브를 구축할 계획이다.

평창군은 청옥산 일원에 풍력발전단지, 생태단지, 무장애 나눔길 등의 기반시설과 화전·고랭지·평창아라리 등의 지역문화와 야생화 자원을 결합한 산악관광 허브를 구축할 계획이다. 

군은, 올해부터 2026년까지 150억 원을 투자하여 안내센터, 힐링 전망대, 야생화 테마정원, 생태주차장 등을 조성하게 되며, 일자리 창출과 관광 소득 증대를 통한 산촌경제 활성화를 기대하고 있다.

아울러, 이번 평창풍력발전(주)과 미탄영농조합법인간의 업무협약으로 청옥산 사업을 지역주민을 대표하는 법인과 관련 기업이 함께 참여하는 민관협력형으로 추진하고, 이와 같은 협력을 기반으로 중장기적으로 전국을 대표하는 산악관광 특화단지로 조성할 계획이다.

심재국 평창군수는 “지역주민과 관광객이 상생하고 산촌의 활력을 불어넣는 전국 최고의 산악관광 모델을 마련하기 위해 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
