[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 2월 10일 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 2월 생신을 맞이한 저소득 위기가정 가구를 대상으로 ‘가가호호 생일지원’ 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 생일지원 행사는 경제적인 어려움을 겪고 있거나 독거로 혼자 외로이 지내고 있는 분들의 심리적인 위축감 해소와 정서적인 지지를 위해 2월 생신을 맞이한 저소득·위기가구 4가구를 선정하여 진행됐으며, 또한 코로나19 사회적거리두기 상황에서 외출이나 대면으로 생일축하를 받지 못하는 대상자들의 정서적 안정 및 안부확인과 함께 생일축하 케익을 전달했다고 전했다.

이 행사는 지역 내 케이크전문점 2곳의 케익 후원과 화원의 화분 후원 그리고 직원들의 축하 인사로 마련됐다고 했다. 

생신을 맞으신 백석읍의 권OO님(68세/여)은 “양주시무한돌봄행복센터의 지원이 일상생활에 큰 힘이 되고 있는데 이렇게 깜짝 생일파티까지 받게 되어서 너무 기쁘다. 평소에 화분을 가꾸는 것이 취미인데 화분을 선물해주셔서 너무 감사하다. 열심히 가꾸어보겠다”라며 고마워했다. 

양주1동의 고OO님(68세/남)은 “독거로 지내면서 평소에 사람들의 왕래가 없어 이렇게 생일축하를 받는 것이 굉장히 쑥스럽지만 양주시무한돌봄행복센터에서 직접 방문해서 축하를 해주니 너무 기쁘고 새로운 기분이다.”라며 고마워했다.

양주시무한돌봄행복센터 김나영 센터장은 “코로나19 사회적 거리두기로 인해 경제적으로도 정서적으로도 어려운 상황이 지속되고 있다. 이번 생일지원사업 추진으로 지역사회 저소득 취약계층에게 조금이나마 힘이 되고 정서적으로 안정감을 느낄 수 있는 시간이 되었으면 좋겠다. 앞으로도 무한돌봄행복센터는 지역 주민들이 외로이 어려움을 겪으며 힘들지 않도록 주의 깊게 살필 것이다.”라고 전했다. 

양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 지역 내 저소득 취약계층을 대상으로 월1회 생일잔치를 실시함으로써 저소득 취약계층 사례관리 대상가구의 외로움과 소외감을 감소시키고, 따뜻한 지역사회 분위기를 조성하는데 앞장서고 있다고 밝혔다.
