[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 4월 22일 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 양주로터리클럽에서 양주시무한돌봄행복센터를 방문하여 취약계층 청소년 및 소외계층 여성들에게 전달해달라며 여성용품 100BOX(200만원 상당)를 전달하는 행사를 가졌다고 밝혔다. 

이날 전달된 여성용품은 양주로타리클럽 회원들의 후원금을 모아 지역사회 어려운 이웃들을 위해 사용하도록 기증함으로써 주위를 훈훈하게 하였다고 했다. 

최상기 양주로타리클럽 회장은 ‘따뜻한 마음을 나눠준 양주로타리클럽 회원들에게 감사의 마음을 전한다. 코로나 19의 장기화로 생활이 어려운 가정에 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 좋겠다. 양주로터리클럽에서는 양주 관내 어려운 이웃과 함께하는 나눔실천에 앞장서도록 하겠다’고 밝혔다.

이에 양주시무한돌봄행복센터에서는 지원받은 여성용품에 대해 양주시 남부권역의 취약계층 및 복지소외 계층 등 저소득·위기가정 여성 가구를 선별하여 도움이 필요한 가정에 전달할 계획이라고 전했다.

양주시무한돌봄행복센터 김나영 센터장은 “코로나 19 장기화로 기업 및 각 가정 모두 어려움을 겪고 있는 시기에 따뜻한 후원을 해주신 양주로타리클럽에 감사의 인사를 전한다. 양주로타리클럽의 소중한 뜻을 이어받아 소외되고 어려움을 겪는 우리의 이웃들에게 도움이 될 수 있도록 잘 전달하겠다.”고 밝혔다. 

한편 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 지역 내 공공기관과 민간 사회단체, 기업 등과 연계하여 도움이 필요한 위기가정이 자립·자활을 할 수 있도록 맞춤형, 통합적 복지서비스를 제공하고 있다고 전했다.
