[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 29일 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 양주시 남부권역 저소득‧취약계층에 대한 햇님달님 주거환경개선 사업의 일환으로 이사지원을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

양주2동에 거주하시는 김OO님은 두 자녀를 양육하는 부부중심 가구이며 조부의 가정폭력을 피해 일정한 거주지 없이 자녀와 함께 찜질방을 전전하며 생활하고 있던 중 LH전세임대주택에 선정되었으나 보증금이 없어 계약을 진행하지 못하고 있었으며, 이에 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 대상자의 주거문제 해결을 위해 아산사회복지재단에 보증금을 신청하여 계약이 이루어지게 도왔고, 이사비용 지원을 위해서 업무협약이 되어있는 대승익스프레스 업체의 협조 아래 저렴한 비용으로 진행했다고 했다.

이번 햇님달님 주거환경개선 이사지원을 통해 대상자 가구는 안정적인 주거지를 마련할 수 있었고, 향후 생활비 절감 및 자녀들의 안정적인 성장을 도모할 수 있게 됐으며, 또한 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 대상자 가정에게 생활필수품 지원사업을 통해 냉장고를 지원하기로 결정했다고 전했다.

양주시무한돌봄행복센터 김나영 센터장은 “복지사각지대 대상자들 중 아직도 주거지가 일정치 않아 찜질방, 고시원 등에서 거주하는 분들이 많다. 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 안정된 거주지 마련과 생활안정을 위해 지속적으로 노력해나갈 계획이다.”고 밝혔다.
