[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 27일 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 5월 생신을 맞이한 저소득・위기가정 가구를 대상으로 ‘가가호호 생일지원’ 행사를 마련했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 생일지원 행사는 경제적인 어려움을 겪고 있거나 독거로 혼자 외로이 지내고 있는 분들의 심리적인 위축감 해소와 정서적인 지지를 위하여 5월 생신을 맞이한 저소득·위기가구 4가구를 선정하여 진행되었다고 했다.

또한 코로나 19(신종 코로나바이러스 감염증)  확산세가 지속 되면서 지역사회 감염 전파 가능성이 높아 모두가 어려운 시기에 외출이나 대면으로 생일축하를 받지 못하는 대상자들의 정서적 안정 및 안부확인, 생일축하 케익과 함께 꽃 화분을 전달하였다고 했다. 

이 행사는 지역 내 케이크 전문점 2곳의 케익 후원과 화원의 꽃 화분 후원 그리고 직원들의 축하 인사로 마련되었다고 전했다.

광적면의 박O호님(56세/남)은 청장년 1인가구로 며칠 전 24일이 생일이었으나 ‘가족 없이 외롭게 홀로 생일 보내었는데, 양주시무한돌봄행복센터에서 생일을 축하해주기 위해 방문해 줘서 너무 뜻밖이었고 놀랐다”며 고마워하였다.

장흥면의 오O열(73세/ 남)은 독거노인으로 무릎관절이 심하고, 오늘따라 비가 내리니 몸이 더 아프고 고역이라며 힘들다고 하심. 늘 쓸쓸한 생일인데 생일을 맞아 방문해 주고, 양주시무한돌봄행복센터에서 관심을 가지고 챙겨주니 삶에 대한 희망의 끈을 놓지 않는다고 말했다.  

양주시무한돌봄행복센터장은 “코로나19 사회적 거리두기로 ”외롭게 생신을 맞이하는 독거어르신, 장애를 가지신 분들에게 조금이나마 행복을 느낄 수 있는 시간을 마련해서 뜻깊고 보람차다“며 생일지원사업 추진으로 지역사회 저소득 취약계층에게 힘이 되고 정서적으로 안정감을 느낄 수 있는 시간이 되었으면 좋겠다. 앞으로도 무한돌봄행복센터는 지역 주민들이 어려움을 주의 깊게 살피며 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”라고 밝혔다. 

양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 지역 내 저소득 취약계층을 대상으로 월1회 생일잔치를 실시함으로써 저소득 취약계층 사례관리 대상가구의 외로움과 소외감을 감소시키고, 따뜻한 지역사회 분위기를 조성하는데 앞장서고 있다고 전했다.
