양주2동에 거주하시는 유OO님은 심한 신체질환으로 일을 하지 못하게 되면서 우울증까지 왔고 이후 집안 정리정돈을 하지 못해 집안에 각종 쓰레기와 썩은 반찬들로 인한 바퀴벌레들이 서식하게 되었지만 스스로 정리를 할 수 없어 양주시무한돌봄행복센터에 도움을 요청하셨고, 양주시무한돌봄행복센터는 섬나봉사회, 뽀빠봉사단, 소나무봉사단 등 자원봉사자 20명과 함께 방문하여 주거지 청소를 진행했다고 했다.

이번 햇님달님 주거환경개선 사업에 참여한 섬나봉사회 김양일 회장은 “이렇게 많은 쓰레기 나오는 것은 자원봉사활동 중 처음 있는 일이라며 우울증의 심각함을 다시 한 번 생각하게 되었다. 우리 주위에 정서적 어려움이 있는 분이 있다면 어려움이 심화되지 않도록 꼭 도와야겠다.”라며 소감을 얘기 했다.
