이번 평가는 전국 243개 지방자치단체에 대해 2021년 적극행정 제도활용, 우수공무원 선발 및 혜택, 우수사례 등을 종합하여 광역, 시, 군, 구별로 각 3개씩 총 12개 자치단체를 적극행정 성과점검 심사단이 평가하여 결정됐다고 했다.
