[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시가 2022년 지방공기업 경영평가에서 지난해에 이어 2년 연속‘우수기관’으로 선정되는 영예를 안았다고 전했다.

이번 평가는 행정안전부가 전국 257개(공사·공단 154, 하수도 103) 지방공기업을 대상으로 전년도 경영실적을 평가했으며, 동해시를 포함한 2개 지자체가 강원도 내에서 최고등급인 ‘나’등급을 인증 받아 우수기관으로 선정됐다.

행정안전부는 매년 전국 공기업을 대상으로 3개 분야(지속가능경영, 경영성과, 사회적 가치) 20개 내외 지표에 대해 성과를 평가하고 있으며, 상·하수도 분야는 격년제로 평가를 실시해 5단계로 등급을 부여하고 있다.

동해시는 전년도에 실시한 상수도분야 경영평가에서도 ‘나’등급을 받는 등 상·하수도 분야 전반에 걸쳐 매년 우수기관으로 선정되고 있다.

최선자 상하수도행정팀장은 “이번 평가를 기반으로 앞으로도 상하수도 지방공기업 경영 효율성 증가와 행복한 동해시 조성을 위한 정책 추진에 더욱 매진할 것”이라고 말했다.
