[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 10일, 한신대학교 사회혁신경영대학원 석사생 2명이 홍천군 도시재생지원센터에서 국내 인턴실습을 시작했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 인턴십 과정은 지난해 2020년 9월, 홍천군도시재생지원센터와 한신대학교 사회혁신경영대학원 간 상생발전을 위해 업무협약을 체결한 이후 진행되는 첫 협업 사례이며, 향후 인턴생들은 홍천군도시재생센터의 감독 하에 홍천에 최소 1주일에서 최대 2주간 체류하며 홍천 도시재생사업에 대한 연구를 수행해 나갈 예정이라고 했다. 

대학원 측은 석사생들에게 숙식비와 실습비를 지원함으로써 도시재생 현장에서의 실전 연구수행 기회를 제공하고, 홍천군도시재생지원센터는 홍천의 도시혁신에 관한 연구 인력을 지원받는 동시에 인턴생들에게 사무공간을 비롯하여 연구활동에 관한 멘토링 등 연구자료 및 지역안내를 제공하며, 인턴십 과정은 삶의 현장과 지역의 맥락에 기초 지역의 발전방안을 모색해 보고 실천현장을 탐구할 수 있는 기회를 마련하고자 1~2주일에 거쳐 진행된다고 했다. 

이기호 한신대 사회혁신경영대학원장은 “석사생들이 각자의 관심분야를 기반으로 직접 현장연구를 수행해 봄으로써 경험에 기반한 심화 지식을 쌓아 나가길 기대한다”며 본 인턴 파견 프로그램에 대한 기대를 밝혔다. 

최소영 홍천군 도시재생지원센터장은 “짧은 기간이지만 인턴생 분들이 신장대리, 진리, 희망리 등 홍천군의 주요 도시재생 사업지들을 연구하며 홍천군 도시재생 발전에 관한 유의미한 연구결과를 도출해내길 바란다”며 “이러한 프로그램을 발판으로 향후 지속적으로 홍천군 도시재생 인적자원 마련을 위한 토대를 구축해 나갈 계획”이라 전했다.
