[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원 정선군자원봉사센터가 코로나19 예방접종지원 자원봉사활동 우수센터로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

코로나19라는 범국가적 위기 극복에 적극 동참한 사례 발굴 및 자원봉사 활성화를 위해 행정안전부와 한국중앙자원봉사센터 주관으로 진행된 코로나19 예방접종지원 자원봉사활동 우수센터 선정은 전국 245개 자원봉사센터를 대상으로 진행되었으며, 정선군자원봉사센터 등 총 40곳이 선정됐다고 했다.

정선군자원봉사센터는 700여명의 자원봉사자들의 참여하는 정선군통합자원봉사지원단을 구성해 지난 4월부터 10월까지 정선군 예방접종센터 및 위탁의료기관 등 예방접종 자원봉사는 물론 어르신들의 접종 편의를 위해 순환버스 승·하차 및 귀가 지원 등 찾아가는 이동 봉사활동 지원 등 약 7개월간 총 1,300여 명의 자원봉사자들이 참여해 코로나19로부터 군민들의 소중한 생명을 지키기 위한 체계적이고 원활한 코로나19 백신 접종을 지원한 부분에 대해 높은 평가를 받았고, 표창장 전달은 코로나19 예방을 위해 7일 정선군청에서 최승준 정선군수가 한국중앙자원봉사센터장 표창을 정선군자원봉사센터에 전달했으며, 센터는 행정안전부 시상금 100만 원을 받게 됐다고 했다.
