[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12월 10일 정선군자원봉사센터에서는 정선읍 애산리에 위치한 아리랑센터에서 정선군수 최승준를 비롯한 정선군의회 전흥표 의장, 정선군자원봉사센터소장 장기봉, 기관단체장, 자원봉사자 등이 참석한 가운데 '2021 정선군 자원봉사자대회'를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

2021 정선군 자원봉사자대회는 자원봉사를 통해 슬기로운 코로나19 위기 극복은 물론 이웃사랑 실천과 지역사회 발전에 기여한 자원봉사자들을 격려하고 자원봉사에 대한 범국민적 실천의지를 다지고 자원봉사 활성화와 소통과 화합의 장을 위해 마련되었다고 했다.

'나눔과 참여 행복한 정선'을 주제로 진행된 이날 대회에서는 자원봉사활동 영상 상영, 자원봉사활동 유공자 시상, 자원봉사 선언문 낭독의 순으로 진행되었고, 이날 정선군새마을부녀회 등 4개 단체 포상과 함께 신동읍 적십자봉사회 정연수 등 28명이 개인포상을 수여하는 등 자원봉사활동 유공자로 총 32명이 포상을 받았다고 전했다.

또한 올 한해동안 적극적인 자원봉사활동으로 자원봉사자 마일리지제 칭호를 부여받은 봉사자는 총 99명으로  5,000시간 이상 으뜸봉사왕 2명을 비롯하여 2,000시간 이상 봉사왕 14명, 1,500시간 이상 금장 12명, 1,000시간 이상 은장 22명, 500시간 이상 동장 49명이 봉사자 칭호를 수여 받았다고 했다.

장기봉 정선군 자원봉사센터소장은 "정선 자원봉사자들의 따뜻한 마음과 헌신적인 봉사가 있었기에 지역의 어려운 이웃들이 더욱 건강하고 행복한 삶을 유지할 수 있었다며, 앞으로도 군민 모두가 행복한 정선을 만들어 나가는데 자원봉사자들과 함께 적극 노력해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
