[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시는 한국전기기술인협회강원도회, (사)강릉시자원봉사센터와 강릉지역 자원봉사 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 15일 오후 시청에서 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에는 최길영 자원봉사센터 이사장, 손호돈 한국전기기술인협회강원도회 회장과 김홍규 강릉시장이 참석했다.

이번 협약은 지역 취약·소외계층을 위한 나눔과 봉사문화를 확산하고 2023강릉세계합창대회, 2024강원동계청소년올림픽대회, 2026 ITS 세계총회 등 앞으로 강릉에서 열릴 국제행사의 성공개최를 위해 협력하기로 하였다.

강릉시는 취약계층 대상자 발굴과 행정지원 등의 업무를, 한국전기기술인협회강원도회는 노후 전기시설 설비 지원 및 인적자원을, 자원봉사센터는 봉사 인프라를 제공하기로 했다.

김홍규 강릉시장은“이번 협약을 통해 자원봉사 문화를 활성화하여, 취약계층 지원뿐만 아니라 강릉에서 열릴 다양한 국제행사도 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 협력하겠다”고 말했다.
