[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양양군은 지난해 쌀 과잉생산에 따른 해뜨미쌀 가격하락과 지역농협 산물벼 재고량 증가에 따라 2022년 쌀 적정생산량 유지 및 쌀값 하락 방지를 위해 최근 정부가 추진 중인 벼 재배면적 조정 및 적정생산 유도 정책에 적극 동참하기로 했다고 밝혔다.  

군은 정부의 쌀 공급 과잉에 따른 적정생산 대책에 따라 올해 벼 목표 재배면적을 지난해(1,678ha)보다 69ha 감축한 1,609ha로 잡았고, 감축면적 69ha중 30ha는 농가 자체 논 밭전환 기반조성과 하천제방 등 소규모시설 재해복구 사업에 편입되는 농지 및 농작업로 등 각종 개발행위로 인한 자연 감소분이며, 또 20ha는 지역 농·축협과 협력하여 조사료 사일리지 생산지원 사업, 논활용 잡곡재배 농가 농협을 통한 잡곡 수매사업 등 농가 자체 생산량 조절 협약을 통해 추진할 계획이라고 전했다.

기타 19ha는 군 자체예산을 활용하여 친환경 잡곡 재배단지 조성사업, 산채 1시군 1명품화 육성사업 등 농산지원 및 과수특작분야 사업으로 추진 중에 있으며, 향후 논 타작물재배 생산 장려금 지원 사업 등 추가예산 확보를 통해 쌀전업농 등 벼 재배농가가 관련 사업에 자발적으로 적극 동참할 수 있도록 홍보할 계획이라고 했다.
