[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 11월 29일 10시, 평창군은 군청 소회의실에서 평창군 학교급식 농산물 원물 공급을 위한 평창군-평창교육지원청-(재)평창푸드통합지원센터 간 업무협약을 체결한다고 밝혔다.

평창군, 평창교육지원청 및 (재)평창푸드통합지원센터는 이번 업무협약을 통해 학교급식에 로컬푸드 농산물을 안정적으로 공급하여 학생들의 건강 증진과 농업인 소득 향상을 위해 상호 협력하기로 뜻을 모았다고 했다.

현재 평창군 학교급식은 46개교, 3,200여 명을 대상으로 추진되고 있으며, (2020년 기준) 관내 산 농산물 17%, 강원도산 약 75%를 사용하고 있었으나, 2022년부터는 재단법인 평창푸드통합지원센터를 통한 현물 공급으로 관내 산 농산물 50% 이상, 강원도 산 85% 이상 사용을 목표로 추진할 계획이라고 했다.

한왕기 평창군수는 “신선하고 안전한 로컬푸드 농산물 공급을 통해 학교급식의 질 향상은 물론 관내 학생들의 건강 증진을 위해 최선의 노력을 다할 것이며, 식중독 및 안전사고의 예방을 위해서도 교육청 및 (재)평창푸드통합지원센터와 협의하여 관리대책을 수립·시행하겠다.” 고 밝혔다.
