[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 21일 포천시 내촌면은 제2기 명예사회복지공무원 위촉식 및 역량강화 교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

제2기 내촌면 명예사회복지공무원은 주민생활과 밀접한 지역사회보장협의체, 마을이장, 적십자 봉사회 등 지역 실정에 익숙한 주민 30명으로 구성됐다고 했다.

무보수 명예직인 명예사회복지공무원은 복지위기가구를 발굴 제보하고 다양한 복지사업관련 정보를 제공하는 메신저 역할을 수행하는 등 인적안전망 역할을 수행하게 된다고 했다.

위촉식에 이어 명예사회복지공무원 설명회와 자살시도 위험이 높은 가구에 대한 이해를 돕기 위한 ‘생명지킴이 양성 교육’도 실시했다고 전했다. 

강성모 내촌면장은 “많은 관심을 가지고 주변 이웃을 살피고 어려움을 겪고 있는 위기가구를 적극 제보해주시길 바란다.”라며 “명예사회복지공무원과 함께 복지사각지대를 조기에 발견해 맞춤형 복지서비스를 지원할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
