[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 16일부터 17일까지 의정부시는 이틀간 사회복지전담공무원 26명을 대상으로 역량강화 교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 올해 신규 임용된 사회복지전담공무원을 중심으로 사회복지업무에 대한 기초교육을 제공하여 업무 능력을 높이고 급변화는 사회복지정책에 신속하게 대응하여 복지서비스 만족도를 향상하고자 실시했다고 전했다.

이날 교육은 신규 사회복지전담공무원이 주로 담당하고 있는 장애인복지 및 한부모가족지원 사업을 중심으로 신청절차 및 자격요건, 지원절차 등에 대해 선배 공무원을 활용해 경험과 지식을 공유했으며, 질의 응답시간을 통해 평소 궁금했던 사항들을 해소하는 시간이 됐다고 했다.

윤교찬 의정부시 복지국장은 “사회복지 업무담당자 직무교육을 꾸준히 제공해 시민들의 다양한 복지 수요에 신속하게 대응하고 촘촘하고 다양한 복지서비스를 제공해 시민들이 더욱 행복해질 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
