[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 7월 16일 북면행정복지센터에서는 명예사회복지공무원들의 역량강화 교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

북면은 8명의 명예사회복지공무원이 활약 중으로 생업으로 바쁘지만 지역을 잘 아는 지역민이 주체가 되어 복지사각지대 및 고립된 위기가구 발굴을 위해 무보수 명예직으로 임무를 수행하고 있다고 했다. 

이번 교육은 지난 5월 20일 신규위촉자 및 재위촉자들의 요청에 의해 실시되었으며 교육내용으로 명예사회복지공무원의 역할, 위기가구 범위, 활동 시 주의사항, 북면 특화사업에 대해 맞춤형복지팀장의 강의로 진행됐다고 했다.

참가자들은 긴급복지지원사업 및 가평군복지혜택에 대해 끊임없이 질의하는 등 열띤 교육 열기를 보여 2기 명예사회복지공무원 활동에 대한 기대감을 증가시켰다고 했다. 

특히나 이번 여름은 예년에 비해 무더울 것으로 예고되어 명예사회복지공무원들의 활동이 복지사각지대에 있는 분들에게 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다고 전했다. 

이해곤 북면장은 “바쁜 일상가운데에서도 지역의 위기가구 발굴 및 지원을 위해 애쓰시는 명예사회복지공무원의 노고에 깊은 감사를 드리며, 명예사회복지공무원 사업이 활성화 되어 복지사각지대가 없는 북면이 되도록 상생협력하자고” 당부의 말을 전했다.
