[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 22일 동두천시는 여름철 집중호우 및 태풍 등 안전관리에 대비하기 위해 종합운동장에 위치한 배드민턴장 펜스 보강 공사를 완료했다고 밝혔다.

동두천시는 배드민턴장 기존 펜스의 전도 위험 방지 등 안정성 확보를 위해 노후된 기둥을 철거하고 견고한 구조의 기둥으로 새로이 구조물을 설치했다고 전했다.

최용덕 동두천시장은 “시민들이 안전하고 쾌적하게 배드민턴장을 이용할 수 있도록 펜스 보수공사를 실시했으며, 앞으로도 노후 공공체육시설을 단계적으로 개선 정비해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
