[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 산세가 수려해 경기의 소금강(小金剛)이라고도 불리는 동두천시 소요산에 단풍이 울긋불긋 절정을 이루고 있다고 밝혔다.

소요산은 2002년 세계 산의 해를 기념하여 산림청이 선정한 한국 100대 명산 중 한 곳으로, 전국적으로 단풍이 유명하다고 전했다.

동두천시 관계자에 따르면 “지난 주말 동안 약 12,000여 명이 소요산을 찾았으며, 이달 첫째 주에서 둘째 주 중반까지 단풍이 절정을 이룰 것으로 예상한다”고 말했다.
