[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 27일 소흘읍 새마을회에서 설을 맞아 따뜻하고 즐거운 설을 보내길 바라는 마음을 가득 담은 ‘2022 설맞이 사랑의 떡 나눔’ 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

행사에는 소흘읍 새마을회 회원 50여 명이 참석해 소외된 이웃이 따뜻한 설을 보낼 수 있도록 소흘읍 새마을회에서 준비한 가래떡 240kg를 전달했다고 했다.

이진형 협의회장은 “우리 주변의 어려운 이웃들이 설을 즐겁게 보내는 데에 조금이나마 보탬이 됐으면 하는 마음에서 준비했다.”며 “어려운 이웃들을 위한 따뜻한 정성이 더 많이 모이길 바란다.”라고 말했다.

최기진 소흘읍장은 “사랑을 가득담아 나누어 드린 떡이 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 주변 이웃에게 조금이라도 도움이 되고 위로가 되길 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 민관이 협업해 소흘읍만의 맞춤형 복지 정책을 적극 발굴·시행해 나가겠다.”라고 전했다.
