[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 중부지방을 중심으로 집중호우가 계속되어 춘천, 철원, 횡성 등 도내 여러 지역에서 피해가 발생하고 있는 가운데, 김진태 강원도지사가 9일 15시 20분경 한국수력원자력 춘천지소 의암댐 현장을 긴급 방문했다고 밝혔다. 

김진태 지사는 폭우에 따른 댐 방류 현장 상황 브리핑을 청취하고, 관계기관과 지자체 간 협업을 통한 도민 피해 최소화와 신속한 안전대책 마련을 지시했다. 

이 날 긴급 방문은 9일 춘천댐과 의암댐이 방류를 시작했고, 10일 소양감댐이 2년 만에 방류될 가능성이 있어 북한강 수계댐 수위를 점검하고, 폭우 대처상황 및 향후 조치계획을 검토하고자 이루어졌다.

강원도는 영동지역과 태백지역을 제외한 전 지역에 호우주의보가 발효되어 돌풍과 천둥, 번개를 동반한 시간당 50~80mm의 강력한 폭우가 지속되고 있고, 향후 피해가 클 것으로 예상된다.
