[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 6일 북부지방산림청은 어린이날(5.5), 부처님 오신 날(5.8) 등 연휴를 맞아 입산객 증가로 인한 산불발생 위험이 증가함에 따라 소초면 구룡사 일대에서 산불예방 캠페인을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 캠페인은 구룡사를 찾은 등산객들을 대상으로 홍보물 배부·공익광고 송출 등으로 산불예방 계도 및 홍보활동을 벌이면서, 산불예방을 위한 국민 공감대 형성을 위해 실시했다고 했다.

또한, 산림특별사법경찰을 포함한 단속반을 편성해 산나물 불법채취, 입산통제구역 무단입산, 묘지주변 및 논‧밭두렁, 쓰레기 소각 등의 불법행위 단속을 병행했다고 했다.

아울러 북부지방산림청은 수도권과 강원 영서지역을 대상으로 산불예방 및 임산물 불법채취 근절을 위해 관내 주요사찰, 관광지, 등산로 입구, 입산 주요길목에 산불전문예방진화대원 등 400여명을 집중배치하고, 산림드론감시단 7개단을 통한 공중감시도 병행하여 지속 추진할 계획이라고 전했다.

관행적인 소각행위를 원천적으로 근절하기 위해 적발 시 과태료 부과 등 처벌을 강화할 계획이며, 산림으로부터 100m이내의 소각은 일절 금지되고 위반행위 적발 시 산림보호법에 따라 50만원 이하의 과태료를 부과하게 된다고 했다.
