[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시가 지난 3월 발생한 산불피해 농가의 빠른 일상 회복을 위해 복구지원금 지급, 종자 무상 공급, 농부산물 처리 등 산불 피해복구에 나섰다고 전했다.

시에 따르면, 시는 지난 3월 발생한 산불로 피해를 입은 166농가에 대해 총 3억 600만원의 복구지원금을 4월 중 지급할 계획이며, 산불 발생 즉시 최우선으로 농업인들의 안정적인 영농추진을 위해 종자가 소실된 농가 현황을 파악해 4개 농가에 289kg(감자 280, 찰옥수수 9)의 종자를 지난달 24일 우선 무상 공급에 나섰다고 했다.

이와 함께, 피해 농경지에 남아있는 폐기물과 농부산물을 신속하게 처리, 적기 농작업이 이뤄질 수 있도록 동해시자원봉사센터와 협조해 300여명의 자원봉사자를 투입해 산불피해 폐기물 정리 및 수거를 실시했으며, 산불피해 시설물(농막, 축사 등) 철거와 수거된 폐기물의 처리를 위해 관내 폐기물 전문업체 6개 업체에 의뢰해 54농가에 대한 폐기물 처리를 지원했다고 전했다.

동해시는 향후 산불피해 농가에 복구지원금 지원해 농업용 시설물 설치(비닐하우스, 저온저장고, 축사 등) 및 농용장비 구입 등을 통해 산불피해 복구를 지원할 계획이라고 했다.
