[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시 묵호동에 산불 피해 극복을 위한 성금이 전달됐다고 밝혔다.

지난 19일 동해시에 따르면, 묵호동 등대까페에서 산불피해 후원성금 기탁을 위해 묵호동행정복지센터를 방문해 성금 50만원을 기탁했으며, 기탁받은 후원금은 강원도공동모금회에 특별모금지정 기탁돼 동해시 산불 피해민들의 구호와 피해복구를 위해 사용될 예정이라고 전했다.

김진형 대표는 “산불로 많은 피해를 입은 묵호동 주민들이 힘든 상황을 이겨내는데 조금이라도 도움이 되었으면 한다.”며, 재난상황에서 어려움을 겪는 이웃들을 위해 따뜻한 마음을 나눴다고 했다.

또한, 속초시 주민자치협의회에서도 묵호동행정복지센터를 방문해 산불피해 구호성금 100만원을 기탁했으며, 이날은 동해시 묵호동 주민들의 아픔을 위로하기 위해 김덕용 속초시주민자치협의회 회장, 이정운 강원도주민자치회 회장 등을 포함한 6명이 묵호동을 방문해 피해상황을 듣고 산불로 한순간에 삶의 터전을 빼앗긴 이재민의 아픔을 공감했다고 전했다.

이기선 묵호동장은 “갑작스런 화재로 인해 고통받는 주민들에게 큰 위로가 될 것 같다. 이재민들이 다시 희망을 가질 수 있도록 빠른 일상 회복을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
