[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 횡성군은 '한해대책 중기계획' 및 농업기반정비사업 중장기계획에 따라 기후변화로 인한 잦은 가뭄 피해에 선제적으로 대응코자 추진한 농업용수 개발사업 및 농업기반시설 조성사업을 성공적으로 마무리하였다고 밝혔다. 

이번 농업용수개발사업 분야에서는 총사업비 10여억원을 확보해 5개 지구 '유평2리, 금대리, 송한리, 월현2리, 초원1리'에 신규 암반관정 및 양수장을 개발, 물탱크 및 급수관로 등의 부대 이용시설을 설치 완료하고 기반조성사업 분야에서는 총사업비 20여억원을 투입해 안흥면 상안1리, 2리 일원 상안지구 밭 기반사업을 마무리하여 상습 물부족 전작지 71ha를 해소하였고, 또한, 신규지구인 공근지구 '공근리, 행정리, 가곡리, 청곡2리 일원'은 총 사업비 40여억을 확보, 전작지 151ha에 대하여 관정개발 및 농업기반시설 확충을 2023년까지  완료할 예정이라고 했다.

횡성군은 앞으로도 지속적인 국·도비 재원확보 노력으로 각종 중장기 계획을 지속적으로 추진하여 가뭄 걱정 없는 영농환경 조성으로 농가소득 향상에 만전을 다 한다는 계획이라고 전했다.
