[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 23일, 화천군이 코로나19 확산위험에 노출돼 있는 지역 내 어린이집 18곳 중 이미 확진자가 발생해 PCR 검사를 받은 2곳을 제외한 16곳의 원생과 교직원에 대한 검사를 시작했다고 밝혔다.  

모든 검사는 사전 안내 후 희망자를 대상으로 이뤄지고 있으며, 이에 앞서 드림스타트센터 등 지역아동복지시설 돌봄아동 200여 명에 대해서도 지난 22일부터 이틀 간 검사를 진행했다고 전했다. 

군은 이와 함께 2월 23일 고령자 주거시설인 화천읍 신읍리의 공공실버주택 입주자 130명을 대상으로 검사를 실시했고, 또 지난 22일부터 이틀 간, 맞춤돌봄 대상노인, 사례관리 대상자 등 762명에 대해서는 생활관리사 등을 통해 신속항원검사 안내와 시행을 병행하고 있다고 했다.

화천군이 취약층을 중심으로 신속히 신속항원검사를 진행하는 것은 코로나19 오미크론 바이러스의 확산상황이 예사롭지 않기 때문이라고 전했다. 

지난 22일 기준, 화천지역에서는 지금까지 군장병 포함 모두 647명이 확진판정을 받았고, 특히 지난 21일 하룻 동안 화천지역에서는 어린이집 원생들을 포함, 주민과 군장병 등 52명이 확진돼 일일 확진규모로는 최고치를 기록했으며, 군은 이러한 상황에서 선제적 신속항원검사가 조금이라도 빠르게 확산을 막을 수 있는 방법이라고 보고 있다고 했다.
