또, 직원 전통시장 가는 날 방문 주간을 지정해 부서별로 시장을 방문하도록 진행하며, 전통시장 경기 활성화를 위해 지역화폐인 동해페이, 강원상품권, 온누리상품권 활용을 적극 권장할 계획이라고 했다.

박종을 경제과장은 “코로나19로 어느때보다 힘든 시기를 보내고 있는 상인들에게 큰 힘이 되고, 우리 전통시장이 다시 활기를 되찾기를 바란다”고 말했다.
